As you can see the next trips starts to fill up already so if it’s a specific date you like to go don’t wait too long with booking.  News regarding the Lapland tours this spring is that you now have the possibility to go 1-2 days downhill skiing in the Abisko area. All the info about the welcome dinner, which will take place this Thursday (28th of January, 8pm) can be found in the document below.

The Welcome dinner for international students and host students will be held on the restaurant Glada Ankan. The restaurant is located in central Karlstad, just next to the public square where the buses stop.

Menu
Grilled chicken with woked vegetable, peppersauce and potato wedges.
1 beer/cider/soda
Coffee and cake

Tickets for 100 kronor.
The Student Union have tickets for all the ice-hockey games, played in Karlstad! It is seat tickets for 100 kronor each. You can buy you tickets, no later than 12:00 am (noon) on the day of the game at the student union’s office in Studenternas hus which is on the second floor

Relaunch party at Tempel on the 4th of February
The party is on Thursday the 4th of February and everyone who is a student at Karlstad University are welcome to join. The doors will be open from 9 pm. And the thought is that this will also be the premiere for the student Thursdays at Tempel.
Free  entrance – get your tickets at the student union office
The first 1000 visitors will get a welcome drink, there is of course a non-alcoholic option. The entrance is free and you can get you ticket at the student union’s office which is can be found in Studenternas hus. You have to show your Mecenat card, to prove that you are a student. If you are under 23 years old, they will put you on a special guest list. There is a limited amount of tickets – it’s first come, first served

Go big shopping with the student union

Karlstads Student union is offering, together with the shopping center at Bergvik and IKEA, a charted buss for those of you who would like to go and buy a lot of stuff (big spenders) on Sunday 31st of January.
The buss will leave at 12am (noon) from Campus, it will make a stop at the university and will then continue to Duvkulla (to the parking lot outside of kronoparksjouren). The buss will then go directly to the shopping center at Bergvik and IKEA. The buss back to Kronoparken will leave at 15.00 (3pm).

Movienight with the student union

Make sure you book the entire night on Wednesday the 10th of  February. It will start at 18:00 (6pm) in the egg (in house 21). Come by yourself, or invite your friends or you sweetheart.

Scanbalt International Student Cruise (ISC) is a party cruise for Scandinavian and international students going from Stockholm to Riga and return. Your friends are also welcome (students or not). Do not make the mistake and miss what could be the most awesome student party of the year. The three previous cruises are already legendary!!!

Departure from Stockholm Frihamnen April 11th 5 PM and return to Stockholm April 13th 9:30 AM.

There will be two nights on the ship Festival and about 7 hours to explore the beautiful center of Riga, the capital of Latvia.

Ordinary cruise tickets are only booked with the cruise company Tallink-Silja. You can choose to book a cabin or only a bed and share the cabin with another person. Book on this website on-line, the language will be Swedish. In the first step of the booking you are asked if you have the Club membership, just ignore that field.
