Krondagen is a day devoted to Kronoparken, with the purpose of gathering all associations, organizations and the residents in Karlstad in one forum. The day invites to dance, theater, music, workshop, cultural food, contests and meetings.

The eventet is created by the residence companies, Karlstad municipality and the residents association to celebrate Kronoparken as a district and to create a meeting place for people in Karlstad.

This event will take place on May 7th at Kronoparken Centrum.

Do you have any clothes in your closet that you would like to get rid of and find something else instead? Then you should visit Naturskyddsföreningens clothes exchange day on Gjuteriet (Verkstadsgatan 1 on Herrhagen) on Saturday April 24th.

Do you want to party in Rumpan bar this Spring? And join all of the Rumpan-activities, like CAPS, Music quiz and the big exam party on the 8th and 9th of April? Then you need a membership in the following associations: KarlEkon, EMMA, Mexika, Inferno, Pelikan, TURE and KRAMA.

To become a member of KarlEkon, you can either sign-up through your Internet bank by following the instructions on KarlEkon’s website (http://korturl.se/srcp), or you can come and sign-up in person on the 6th of April, outside of the library, between 12:30-14:00 and pay in cash. KarlEkon offers membership for 50 SEK/one semester and 200 SEK/ten semesters.

International Dance Festival!

The international dance festival ABUNDANCE 2010 takes place in Karlstad 15 – 17th June 2010 and is host to dancers and choreographers from all over the world. The festival program offers a wide range of performances, workshops and seminars and is free for the general public to take part in.

Volunteering in the festival

We are looking for people interested in volunteering during the festival days. You will be part of an international context that will allow you to meet really cool artists from the international dance community. In return for your help, you will be able to take part of performances, workshops etc as well as being invited to the VIP parties during the festival. Don’t miss out on the biggest dance party in Sweden 2010!

Hosting Families – Do you want to host a “Homeless” Dancer?

We are currently looking for hosting families for the artists visiting the region during ABUNDANCE 2010. During 15 – 17^th June, Karlstad will explode with dance from all over the world, and as the artists have travelled far covering costs for tickets themselves, we hope to be able to accommodate them in the homes of generous people in the region. Having a dancer stay in your home may provide an interesting opportunity to get to know people from other countries and to find out more about dance and choreography. As a host to a dancer you agree to provide them with somewhere to stay as well as breakfast (The festival will provide them with lunch and dinner).
