 ISAK does not have alcohol as a central theme on its events

 ISAK accepts and welcome all people to their events even if they do not drink alcohol

 On the ISAK events where you can buy Alcohol ISAK should offer alcohol free alternatives

 ISAK does not force anyone to drink alcohol

 Smoking is not allowed inside at any ISAK event

 ISAK dissociate ourselves from all types of drug using including hash and marijuana

 ISAK should see that all host students are setting a good example and knows about alcohol and how it effects people

 Karlstad University does not allow any use of drugs within the university area and all of ISAK’s events are drug free.

Alcohol and Drug Policy for Sweden

As a newcomer in Sweden it’s important to know about drug and alcohol laws and policies as they are more strictly applied here than in most other countries.

 Going out to clubs and bars is not allowed for people under 18.

 Make sure to always bring photo ID (identification), when going out on clubs and bars. If not, the owner can refuse you entering. ID is also needed when buying Alcohol at Systembolaget and other stores.

 Smoking tobacco is not permitted inside any public building, or in restaurants, clubs and bars. The same rules apply for the university area and all housing reserved with help from the university.

 Any kind of drug and drug related substances are strictly prohibited due to the Swedish law, including hash and marijuana. The legal consequences for drug using in Sweden are severe.
